The AS9120 Quality Management System standard includes the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system (QMS) requirements and specifies additional requirements for quality management system (AQMS) for the Aerospace industry applicable to stockiest distributors. This ensures a quality management system which is well rounded and directly suited to your business.

This certification is for use by organizations that procure parts, materials and assemblies, and sell these products to a customer in the Aerospace industry. This includes organizations that procure products and split them into smaller quantities.

Boeing has developed the Counterfeit Parts Control Plan (CPCP) that acknowledges electronic parts suppliers for their exemplary performance in quality and counterfeit components avoidance. The program provides requirements, practices, and methods for mitigating risks of receiving counterfeit parts. Each approved supplier must prove its requirements for a counterfeit risk mitigation control plan, and have the plan apply to all levels of procurement. This is not only for electronic parts but for all associated materials.

Each approved supplier must have a risk mitigation process that includes methods for avoidance, detection, mitigation, and disposition. In addition, the supplier must have a documented process for purchasing, reporting of counterfeit electronic parts, purchased product verification, in-process inspection, and material control.

The Boeing Performance Excellence Award (BPEA) is an annual program to recognize superior supplier performance.  CTrends earned this recognition by satisfying the following eligibility criteria:

• Maintaining Gold composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period
• Annual contract payment value of at least $100,000
• Minimum of 10 months of deliveries or a General Performance Assessment (GPA) rating and Partnering for Success (PFS) rating, as applicable

The Commercial And Government Entity (CAGE) Code is a five-character ID number used extensively within the federal government. The CAGE code is used to support a variety of mechanized systems throughout the government and provides a standardized method of identifying a given facility at a specific location.  The code may be used for a facility clearance, or a pre-award survey. You do not need to have a CAGE code prior to registration as one will be automatically assigned to you as a part of your entity's registration in SAM. CAGE codes are assigned by DoD's Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

This Standard is specifically designed for private distributors of aeronautical products. The Standard establishes criteria for required procedures and forms necessary for eligibility and participation under this Standard. This Standard describes all necessary elements for accreditation as prescribed by AC 00-56B and other FAA publications. The intent of this Standard is to assure that private Aeronautical Parts Distributors write and comply with reliable and safe methods such as: receiving inspections, storing, handling, packaging and verifying the traceability of aeronautical products. Every effort has been expended in the preparation and development of this Standard to require the most up-to-date methods, procedures and documentation necessary to ensure a high quality product for sale to the end user, both domestic and foreign.

This is a certification given by Broker Forum to those members that have demonstrated that they in fact have access to the excess they have posted online. This helps eliminate companies from reposting stock from other companies that they don't have in their warehouse.

This standard includes ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements and specifies additional requirements for a quality management system for the aerospace industry applicable to stockist distributors. This standard is for the use by organizations that procure parts, materials and assemblies and sells these products to a customer in the aerospace industry. This includes organizations that procure products and split them into smaller quantities. This standard is not intended for organizations that rework or repair products.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard is the replacement for the ISO 9001:2008 Standard for business. ISO standards are reviewed for suitability and effectiveness every 5-7 years and the last update was in 2008, as expected the new version offers substantial differences from the previous version of the standard. The new certification will be based on Annex SL that brings a common structure to all management systems (QMS, EMS, ISMS) in order to ensure uniformity, align varying management system standards, apply a universal language across all standards (sections, texts, terms, and definitions), improve the communication with senior management, make it easier for organizations to incorporate their quality management system and increase the importance given to risk and risk management.

The U.S. Government requires all manufacturers, exporters, and brokers of defense articles, defense services or related technical data to be ITAR compliant. For a company involved in the manufacture, sale or distribution of goods or services covered under the United States Munitions List (USML), or a component supplier to goods covered under the USML, the stipulation or requirement of being "ITAR certified (compliant)" means that the company must be registered with the State Department's DDTC, if required as spelled out on DDTC's web site and the company must understand and abide by the ITAR as it applies to their USML linked goods or services. The company themselves is certifying that they operate in accordance with the ITAR when they accept being a supplier for the USML prime exporter. In other simpler words, to be ITAR COMPLIANT, a company needs to register with DDTC and know what is required of them to be in compliance with the ITAR, and self certify that they possess this knowledge.

QSLD products are provided by suppliers that combine accepted commercial practices, and quality assurance procedures that are consistent with industry and international quality standards, and tailored when necessary to product-unique requirements that can take the place of provisions traditionally stated in DLA Land and Maritime solicitations. This program is applicable to selected Federal Stock Class (FSCs) 5961 and 5962 items where a streamlined acquisition process is desired to improve the quality and services provided to our customer; the United States soldier, sailor, airman and marine.

These standards document recognized best practices in component management, supplier management, procurement, inspection, test/evaluation methods, and response strategies when suspect or confirmed counterfeit components are detected."

The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), founded in 1919 only a few years after the birth of flight, is the premier trade association representing major aerospace and defense manufacturers and suppliers in the United States.

This standard was created in response to a significant and increasing volume of fraudulent/counterfeit electronic parts entering the aerospace supply chain, posing significant performance, reliability, and safety risks. This standard was created to provide uniform requirements, practices and methods to mitigate the risks of purchasing and supplying fraudulent/counterfeit electronic parts.

This SAE Aerospace Standard standardizes practices to:

a. identify reliable sources to procure parts,
b. assess and mitigate risk of distributing fraudulent/counterfeit parts,
c. control suspect or confirmed fraudulent/counterfeit parts,
d. and report suspect and confirmed fraudulent/counterfeit parts to other potential users and authority having jurisdiction.

This document standardizes practices to detect suspect counterfeit electronic parts, to maximize the use of authentic parts, and to ensure consistency across the supply-chain for test techniques and requirements. Shares the same intent as AS5553 but is applicable to the testing/inspection community.
